Victoria


Victoria is an incredibly diverse state situated in the south east of the Australia.

The capital of the state Melbourne offers many cultural attractions including modern museums, landscaped of public spaces, bars, cafes and interesting architecture.  While the rest of the state offers great Yarra Valley with its incredible vineyards, you can take a leisurely cruise down the Murray River on a paddle steamer.  Walk the rugged Grampians and wonder at the incredible scene views.  Take in the wondrous coastline of Gippsland’s coastal wilderness or swim with dolphins out in the Mornington Peninsula, or watch fairy penguins on Phillip Island.  

Some of the natural wonders of Victoria include a number of world class national parks and natural reserves including The Dandenong Ranges National Park, Croajingolong National Park, Wilsons Promontory National Park, Wilsons Promontory Marine National Park, Buchan Caves Reserves, Port Campbell National Park, Healesville wildlife sanctuary.  The Australian Alps offer travellers the opportunity to ski and or snowboard at either Mount Hotham or Falls Creek, which is known as the Australia’s powder capital.  

Away from the coast there the Goldfields at Sovereign Hill and impressive architecture of the gold rush boom in and around Ballarat.  There are the natural delights of the Grampians which is a haven for wildlife, wildflowers and Aboriginal art sites.  The options for visitors to Victoria are impressive, it is definitely advisable to do your research before your go as well as ask locals for recommendations when you get there.
