For guests bringing the family along the hotel is ideal in many ways as the hotel lets kids under 13 stay at the hotel free of charge.  Once at the hotel, your children will receive a welcome gift.  Be able to play on the mobile play modules, read books, play computer games, do jigsaws, draw, enjoy kids "film-time".  There is also a kids menu as well as high chairs in the restaurant. 

For guests who are using the hotel in business capacity the hotel is ideal for business meetings and conferences.  The meeting rooms within the hotel can accommodate from 10 - 280 delegates (auditorium, with theatre seating).  There are 9 meeting/conference rooms in total.  

The hotel and its staff are well suited to administering to the needs of guests with disabilities.  Staff are all trained to provide the best level of support possible.  Guide dogs are welcome within the hotel.  The hotel has walking stick holders at reception.  Widened-doors in modified rooms as well as height-adjustable beds.  There's also hearing loops at reception, and portable hearing loops for meetings.  

You can borrow a bicycle (free of charge) from hotel and go for a pleasant ride in the surrounding parkland, or perhaps go for a jog instead.  Within the hotel itself you can workout in the hotels fitness room, which has an exercise bike, treadmill, gymball and free-weights.  After staying on track with your exercise regime why not relax in either of the hotels single-sex saunas.

Parking is not a problem at the hotel, there are 40 car parking spaces outside the hotel as well as additional parking 100m from the hotel.  All parking is free of charge.  

The hotel has free wireless internet access through out.

The Scandic Hotel Chain is one of the most forward-thinking hotel chains in operation.  They initially started their environmental policy as early as 1993.  In 2007 they set themselves the target of being completely carbon neutral by 2025.

Scandic Roskilde adheres to all the elements of the Scandic environmental policy which includes.  Using renewable energy sources, rather than finite carbon fuels. Conserving energy and water resources through a variety of methods including; efficient taps and showers and low-flush toilets, as well as low energy light bulbs and room key controlled lighting.  "Eco-friendly" cleaning products are used through out the hotel.  All waste is sorted into 22 different categories and are recycled wherever possible.

The restaurant serves dishes which are all inspired by traditional Danish cuisine, it can cater for a total of 150 diners.  There is an outside terrace which is enchanting in the late evenings during the summer.  The hotels bar has big comfy sofas, a big screen TV for major sporting events.  The bar serves a range of snacks, as well as Danish beers, wines and cocktails.  Breakfast is free at the hotel, as it is included in the cost of your stay.
