While staying at the hotel you can explore the town of Tempere with its Pyynikki Park by bike, take a boat trip on Lake Pyhäjärvi. Or discover the towns cultural side at the Tampere Art Museum in the city centre, just a short walk away.  If you're bringing your kids why not take them to the Sarkanniemi Amusement Park. 

The hotel is perfectly suited for the business guest, there are 9 meeting rooms and a further 6 "group rooms".  The hotel can cater for up to 650 delegates, so the hotel is an ideal choice for business meetings, conferences, exhibitions and events. 

The hotel has its own fitness centre which has free weights, exercise mats, multi-gym and "Swiss balls".  There is also an indoor pool, if you fancy a few lengths as well as squash courts if you really want to get your pulse racing.  And once you have finished, you can relax in the hotel's saunas.  

For parents who will be staying with their children at the hotel there is the satisfaction of knowing that children stay for free at the hotel (under 13 years).  There are facilities to keep them interested, there is a "Play Host" and  they can read, draw, do jigsaws, play computer games, and watch films at "Film Time".  In the restaurant there is a "kids menu" as well as high chairs for small children and babies.  

The hotel has 2 rooms modified rooms for the disabled, which have their own en-suite bathrooms which have also been adapted (the bathrooms have energy alarms).  The rooms are designed so that wheelchair guests can use them unassisted.  Staff at the hotel are trained in helping the disabled.  There are 3 disabled parking spaces.  There are disabled toilets in public areas, automatic doors and a lift.  Hearing loops are available at reception and mobile hearing loops are available for guests using the hotels business facilities.  Guide dogs are welcomed by staff at the hotel.  

The hotel has 200 free outside parking spaces, there is also a heated indoor garage which has an additional 50 parking spaces.  (These spaces have an additional charge).  

There is free wireless internet through out the hotel.

Since 1993 the Scandic hotel chain has been working to lessen the impact the operation its business has on the environment.  Since initally auditing the company in 1993 the company has refined and improved the environmental policy so that it now a highly detailed policy which takes in every element of the hotel chains operations.  

The Scandic Rosendahl hotel is governed by the Scandic environmental policy.  Key parts of the policy include minimising the generation of waste through out the hotel, this includes food waste, water waste, energy waste and the waste of comsumer products.  All waste is categorised into 22 separate groups, all of which is recycled wherever possible.  Energy and water waste is specifically reduced from by purchase of appliances which are designed to be energy and water efficient.  Fittings through out the hotel also minimise waste for example efficient taps and showers, low-flush toilets in relation water and energy is conserved by the use of low energy light bulbs and room key controlled lighting. No GM food is served, organic food served wherever possible and all coffee is "fairtrade".  In terms of cleaning the hotel "eco-friendly" products are used.

Your breakfast is included within the cost of you stay.  The Käpy restaurant at the hotel serves a number of organic dishes on its  à la carte menu and also offers panoramic views of the Pyynikki area.  It is also possible to order room service during restaurant opening hours.  The bar offers an airy relaxed environment with views out over the lake.
