All rooms have the latest business focused AV equipment. The largest theatre/seminar room can accommodate 80 people, while the smallest room is more boardroom focused accommodating 4 business people. The "Pavilion" can accommodate up to 50 delegates and is on the roof of the hotel with exquisite views out over the city.
For guests who like to keep in shape there is plenty of scope to remain in trim while at the hotel. There is a fitness room, which has a free-weights, exercise bikes and treadmills. If you want to get out and about you can borrow either a bike or walking poles form the hotel, neither of which carry any charge. Once you have finished your excursion or work out you can relax in the 3 Finnish saunas within the hotel.
The hotel has 5 specially designed and modified rooms for the disabled. Each one is designed for ease of use of a wheelchair user, they also have their own en-suite bathrooms which have also been modified. The hotel is level and has lowered buttons for lifts, automatic doors and lifts. Hearing loops are available at reception. Guide dogs are cordially welcomed at the hotel.
For guests with kids there are always fun things to do, they can enjoy films at "Film Time", do some drawing or reading, there are also computer games. For parents there's also the peace of mind that kids stay for free (under 13s) and that the restaurant has high chairs as well as a "kids menu" and "kids buffet".

back to topThe Scandic hotel chain rightly takes pride it the company wide environmental policy which is in places in all of its hotels. The policy has been under constant review and development since 1993. The overall aim of the policy is to improve the overall environmental impact of the the scandic hotel chain so that by 2025 the hotel chain as a whole will have a zero carbon foot print.
The Scandic environmental policy which is in place within the hotel has many elements and affects all aspects of the hotels daily operations. Waste is carefully controlled and monitored. It is sorted into 22 different catagories which are then sent for recycling wherever possible. Energy is sourced so that renewable energy is used. The energy that is consumed by the hotel is conserved through the use of energy efficient electrical appliances, room key controlled lighting. Water consumption is minimised through the use of water efficient appliances, fittings which conserve water, like efficient taps and showers and low-flush toilets. "Eco-friendly" cleaning products are used, food is always "GM free", coffee is fairtrade or a similarly committed ethical brand and organic food is served wherever possible.
