In beautiful Swedish countryside, the Scandic Bollnäs hotel looks out over the scenic Lake Warpen.

The hotel has a rural feel in terms of its location, although the town centre is only a short distance away.  You can relax in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel, go fishing on Lake Warpen, or go for a hike in the warmer seasons.   In winter you can take advantage of opportunity to ski at Bolleberget.  In Bollnas itself you can visit the Lenninge Craft Pavilion, or visit Växbo Lin (a local weaving company).

The Scandic Bollnas Hotel follows all other hotels in the Scandic chain (a Swedish hotel chain) in it's strict observance of the Scandic Environmental Policy.  

The Scandic Environmental Policy covers all elements of the hotels operation.  in the areas of food and beverages the are a number of components.  All water in the hotel is filtered in order to cut down the need for bottled water.  No GM food is served within the hotel.  Organic food is served wherever possible on the hotel restaurant menu and all coffee is fairtrade.  

Waste Management is taken very seriously,  all forms of waste are sorted into  22 categories and any waste that can be recycled, is recycled.  Energy is sourced from renewable sources rather than non-renewable sources.  Energy efficient appliances are fitted through out the hotel, these included low energy light bulbs, room key controlled lighting.  

The hotel tries to use suppliers with proven track records for sustainability in daily operations wherever possible.

The restaurant within the hotel serves fresh local crayfish or herring as part of its offering to guests who choose to order from the à la carte menu.  The restaurant itself has picturesque views out over Lake Warpen.   Breakfast is free to all guests during their stay at Scandic Bollnas.  

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport - By Car:
To make the 230 kilometres journey north to Bollnäs, take the E4 north past Uppsala and Gavle. When you reach Tonnebro, follow the signs to Bollnas via road 83. You will find the Scandic Bollnäs hotel 300 metres from the train station and 200 metres from the city centre. Rental cars are available in the airport at Arlanda.
