Scandic Copenhagen could not be more centrally located within Denmark’s beautiful capital.
It stands next to one of the historic lakes of Copenhagen, Sankt Jørgens Sø (St George’s Lake). Places of interest within close proximity to the hotel include; the Tivoli Gardens, the second oldest amusement park in the world, which offers plenty of fun combined with an air of old world charm. The old port of Nyhavn with its colourful 17th century waterfront, home to many bars, cafes and restaurants as well as some beautifully preserved wooden ships. The Tycho Brahe Planetarium is very close and offers state of the art IMAX cinema as well as The Active Universe exhibition which will take you through the galaxy and beyond.

back to topFor business guests the hotel is ideal for Conferences, as there is over 1,500 sqm of flexible meeting facilities within the hotel. There are 16 meeting rooms, of which 11 have the capacity for over 60 people. There's also a Think Tank meeting room for creative thinking. The hotel also has an exclusively designed executive boardroom on the top floor, and looking out over the city.
In terms of relaxation and recreation you’re exceptionally well served, there’s a Gym that is open 24 hours a day. As well as facilities to keep you in shape, there’s also a sauna and you can also book a massage (must be booked and is non-inclusive).
If you're coming to the hotel with your kids, on arrival they'll each receive a welcome gift and once they've got settled there's a play room which includes play modules, kids TV channels, the restaurant has a kids menu and high chairs in restaurant. There's also a play host, activities and competitions. Children under the age of 13 stay for free.
Room service is available so you can relax your room, the menu includes light meals and snacks, as well as whatever drinks you care to order from the bar. Limited off-menu ordering may be possible.
24 Hour Parking is available within the hotel car park, which has 500 spaces for the use of guests. (Parking is not included in the cost of your stay).
Guests with additional mobility requirements are catered for by staff who are all trained on the best ways to help, there are hearing loops at reception, modified rooms with widened doors and height adjustable beds.

back to topThe Scandic hotel chain have one of the most comprehensive Sustainable Policies of any hotel chain in the world. They ensure that they use no GM food in any of their restaurants or bars. The hotel uses a host of products which reduce waste including low-flush toilets, efficient taps and showers are used through out the hotel. In terms of energy consumption the hotel uses low energy light bulbs and room key controlled lighting. All staff receive environmental training and there is a constant drive for improvement.

By train
Take the train to Central Station from inside Terminal 3 at Copenhagen airport. Change at Central Station and walk for 5 minutes or take a train for 1-2 minutes from Central Station to Vesterport St.
On foot
Turn left out of Central Station, cross Vesterbrogade, then turn left into Ved Vesterport and the Scandic Copenhagen is on your right on Vester Soegade.
By train
Take the S-Train from Central Station to Vesterport St. At the main exit turn right on Gl. Kongevej. The Scandic Copenhagen hotel is 3 minutes’ walk away, on the right side of the road by the Planetarium.
