back to topThe Scandic hotel chain take the impact of their hotels on the environment very seriously. As a result they have created their own very detailed environmental policy which Scandic Silkenborg adheres to.
There are a number of elements to strategy of managing waste at the hotel, in relation to water and energy, fittings are used through out the hotel to save both. These fittings include efficient taps and showers, low-flush toilets, low energy light bulbs, room key controlled lighting. All solid waste is sorted into 22 categories and recycled where possible.
Energy used at the hotel is renewable rather than finite and polluting CO2 based carbon fuel.
Consumable Products
"Eco-friendly" cleaning products through out the hotel, organic food is served wherever possible, coffee at the hotel is fairtrade and no GM food is served at the hotel.
All staff at the hotel are trained in the best environmental practises in relation to the operation of the hotel.
