back to topThere is plenty to keep you in shape both inside and outside the hotel. There is skiing during the winter months Ukkohalla and Paljakka. In the hotel there is a health spa which includes 4 swimming pools which is comprised of; a 25-metre heated swimming pool, a cold water pool, a children's pool and the bubbling massage pool. There are also the 4 Finnish saunas, a Turkish steam room and a Jacuzzi.
The hotel has 5 spacious meeting rooms the largest of which can accommodate up to 90 business people or delegates. For business guests who want to conduct their meetings in more relaxed surroundings there is the "Takkatupa cabinet" which combines meeting facilities with a sauna.
Children under 13 years stay get to stay for free at the hotel. Once at the hotel they will receive a welcome gift on arrival. There is plenty to keep them from getting bored whatever they are into. There are jigsaws, books, computer games, "Film Time", opportunity for drawing, "Kids TV channels". In the restaurant there are high chairs for small children as well as a kids menu.
There is free parking at the hotel for the 100 parking spaces on the site. 40 spaces have heating plugs for cars.
Free wireless internet access is provided through out the hotel.

back to topThe Scandic Kiannon Kuohot Hotel adheres to the company wide environmental policy of the Scandic hotel chain. The elements of the environmental policy cover all elements of the operation of the hotel.
In terms of cleaning the hotel. Only "eco-friendly" cleaning products. In relation to renovation and maintenance a specific environmental construction policy is observed, which includes contractors with a measurable commitment to the environment being given priority when hiring contractors. As well as no toxic materials being used and the use of recyclable materials being used wherever possible.
Waste is managed tightly all forms of waste are separated into 22 categories and recycled wherever possible. Energy is conserved through low energy light bulbs, room key controlled lighting and energy efficient appliances. Water and the energy required to treat and transport it is conserved through efficient taps and showers, low-flush toilets and water conserving electrical appliances.
