For business guests the hotel has 3 meeting/conference rooms.  Which are all comfortably sized and  the largest can accommodate from up to 60 people and the smallest is ideal boardroom size for 12 people.  All have free wireless internet access.  

There is a 24hr fitness room which includes a treadmill, multi-gym and cross-trainer.  If you want to get out and go for a jog alongside the Aura river or borrow a bike (no charge) and go out for a ride.  Once you have finished exercising you can relax in the hotels sauna.  

When children arrive at the hotel they receive a welcome gift from the staff at the hotel, there is plenty on offer to keep them occupied; mobile play modules, kids  TV-channels, computer games, they can read and do jigsaws as well as "Film Time".  The restaurant has high chairs and a "kids menu".  For parents travelling with their children, the largest benefit from staying at the hotel is that children stay for free (under 13 years old).

The hotel has 1 room for disabled guests, this room has been specifically modified for wheelchair users.  The room has its own en-suite bathroom which has also been modified for wheelchair users.  The hotel has a lift and ramps where applicable.  There are also hearing loops for guests with problems related to their hearing.  Guide dogs are welcome at the hotel.  

The hotel has an arrangement to provide parking free of charge at the car park next to the hotel in the car park for the Anttila department store.  After parking in the area reserved for hotel guests on the third floor of the car park, you simply need to take your token from the parking gate and your parking ticket will be activated when it is presented at reception.  

Wireless internet access is available free of charge through out the hotel.

The Scandic environmental policy governs the daily operations of the Scandic Plaza hotel.  Since the policy was first created in 1993 it has been perpetually developing inline with "environmental practise" and the new environmental technologies that are now available.  

The environmental policy ensures that all staff at the hotel are trained to conduct their duties in accordance to with environmental policy.  As part of these duties all waste must be sorted in one of 22 different catagories of waste.  Any waste that it is possible to recycle, is recycled.  Energy waste is minimised through by the hotel sourcing electricity generated by renewable means, and once energy is used by the hotel waste is minimised through the use of energy efficient appliances.  Water waste is controlled through the fitting of water limiting features including low-flush toilets and efficient taps and showerheads.  Food served at the hotel is organic where possible, all food and beverages are GM free, and coffee is "fairtrade".
