Six Senses Zighy Bay is a luxury eco resort and spa in a quiet cove on the Gulf of Oman.
The resort's owners have used local building techniques to create a unique offering for guests in the form of indigenous village style accommodations. The resort is in a sheltered and secluded spot beneath the mountains that stretch up toward the sky behind the resort. Inclusive Activities
You can go jogging or hiking around the nearby trails (it is best to run in the early morning or late evening due to the heat.) staff will keep an eye out for you and you will be advised on what course is best for you. Mountain bikes are also available if you want to explore the local area. If you fancy something quite energetic on the beach you can work up a sweat playing beach volleyball. There is a tennis court which can be flood-lit (coaching is available, but is charged for). You can also go kayaking around the lagoon.
Exclusive Activities
There are exciting air bourne and water based activities, can take off from Zighy Mountain with the resort's paraglider, where you can soar above above the entrancing beauty of the bay. Or you can go for a slightly less strenuous flight using a microlight and take a powered flight around the bay. Out on the water you can go water skiing and wake boarding. Both of which are suitable for novices and as well as experienced skiers and boarders.
For Children
If you bring your children to the resort you can leave them in the care of the Chaika’s children club which runs a number of supervised activities for children aged between 4-12 every morning. There are also children's movie screenings in the early evening. (Childcare is included with price of your stay.)

The resort is situated in a place where water is a very precious resource in order to keep down the volume of water used at the resort used water is treated and then re-used for the flushing toilets as well as the irrigation of the date palm trees. The vegetation in the resort are all native and so as a result require minimal amounts of water, there are no lawns or other non-native species.
Ethical Purchasing
The resort does its best to use suppliers and contractors who share their social and environmental values. As a result the resort tries to influence suppliers to reduce packaging and use suppliers which are involved with community projects and supply “fair trade” products have created Sustainable Purchasing Policy as criteria for assessing suppliers.

back to topThe "Spice Market" is a the 68 seater restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner, taking in a variety of cuisines including Continental, Middle Eastern and Asian dishes. The "Summer House" and terrace is perfect for a light midday meal which can include paninis, croissant sandwiches, focaccias as well as sandwiches and burgers and iced tea or juice through out the day. There are also 42 different flavours of ice creams and sorbets and mouthwatering homemade desserts. "The Cellar" holds an impressive array of the world's wines from some of the most favourably regarded vineyards, regular wine tastings are held under the supervision of the resort's master sommelier. Meals are also served so you dine with food which are perfectly suited to the wine that is served. "Sense on the Edge"is a idyllic dining experience, you sit atop Zighy mountain and look out over Zighy Bay.

The lounge or "Drinks on the Edge" looking out over the bay from this enchanting escarpment is this calm relaxed bar, which offers unique cocktails and tapas, which serves as an ideal place to unwind before sitting down to dine at "Sense on the Edge". The "Zighy Bar" is a perfect place to relax before or after dinner, with an extensive wine list, liquers, spirits and cocktails.
Intimate Dining
You can enjoy "in-villa dining" around the clock (24 hour), including both light snacks and home-cooked style meals. You can have a champagne breakfast or a private barbecue dinner on your private pool deck under the stars. Transfers and Connections
back to topZighy Bay is 90-minutes drive from Dubai International Airport,which is the primary transport hub for entry to Six Senses Zighy Bay. If you want to take an even more scenic option to make your arrival you can either take a fifteen-minute speedboat trip from the nearby port, or if you are feeling as though you would like an ariel view of the resort before you arrive you can be a companion passenger with the Six Senses professional paraglider.
