The Scandic Backadal hotel is just 5 minutes by car central Gothenburg.  

A short drive will take you to Gothenburg's attractions. Families love the Liseberg amusement park, the Botanical Gardens and the boat tours.  It is also very well placed in terms of road connections.  It is on the E6 motorway which is also within easy reach of the E45 and E20.  

Business meetings and conferences are possible at the hotel with the varied options open to you.  The hotel has 4 large conference rooms and has 6 smaller boardroom-sized meeting rooms.  At full capacity the the hotels meeting and conference facilities can seat 200 delegates.  

For guests wanting to keep in shape the hotel has a fitness room, which has exercise machines and free weights.  There is also an indoor pool in which you can put in a few lengths.  And once you've completed your swim or work out you can relax in the sauna.  

Kids love the playroom (with play host) at the hotel, which is conveniently situated within sight of the hotel bar and lobby, so you can relax with a drink and still keep and eye on them as they play.  Kids stay free at the hotel (under 13 years of age), which should come as a welcome bonus to parents.  There's a kids menu in restaurant which also has high chairs.  They can also enjoy "film-time", computer games, reading, jigsaws and drawing.

The hotel is exceptionally well-served for parking there are 30 parking spaces, in its secure parking area, and there are a further 170 garage parking spaces across the street.  All parking in either location is free of charge.

The hotels restaurant serves an array Swedish favourites, including herring as well as the seasonal à la carte menu.  The restaurant itself is decorated with dark wood which gives it a very warm feel.  The large windows provide diners with plenty of light.  The hotel bar has comfortable couches, serves a diverse range of drinks as well as sandwiches and salad.  Every guest's breakfast is complimentary.
