back to topAs hotel within the Scandic hotel chain the hotel observes all the elements of the Scandic environmental policy which has been undergoing constant development since 1993. The hotel carries a Swan Label environmental certificate.
There are many strands the Scandic environmental policy which Scandic CH adheres to. Water is measured on a monthly basis and efforts made to reduce consumption where possible. Water is conserved by the use of efficient taps and showers and Low-flush toilets. Energy is conserved through the use of room key controlled lighting and low energy light bulbs. In the hotel there is no GM food, organic food is served wherever possible, coffee is fairtrade.
All staff are provided with environmental training to ensure the best environmental practise in the daily operation of the hotel.

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport take the E4 motorway north to Sundsvall. Follow the E4 until you see the sign for Gavle. Take the Gavle Centrum (city centre) exit and drive towards the centre. Turn left at the 5th traffic light, just before the bridge crossing. Continue straight ahead until the road ends at the railway tracks. The Scandic CH hotel is located on the left-hand side.
From Stockholm Arlanda Airport by train:
Trains to Gavle depart from the Arlanda C station. Follow the domestic trains signs. Alight at Gavle Train Station. The Scandic CH is located just 50 metres north of the train station’s main entrance. Follow the road next to the railway tracks north and you will see the hotel. It takes 2 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel.
From E4 motorway:
From the E4 motorway take the Gavle Centrum (city centre) exit and drive towards the centre. Turn left at the 5th traffic light, just before the bridge crossing. Continue straight ahead until the road ends at the railway tracks. The Scandic CH is located on the left-hand side.
From Gavle Train Station on foot:
