The hotel can easily cater for the needs of business guests 11 well equipped meeting rooms.  The hotel can accommodate up to 70 business guests during the day in the the business facilities.  On the 6th floor you enjoy the light and stylishly decorated Reykjavik function room.  

Exercise at the hotel, there is well-equipped gym which has a treadmill, cross-trainer, multigym, free weights and exercise machines.  If you'd like to see more of the city under your own steam you can borrow a bicycle (for free) from the hotel.  There is also a pool in which you can swim a few lengths.  

Kids are very welcome at the hotel, (if under 13 their stay is free).  There are high chairs in the restaurant which also has a kids menu.  On arrival at they're given a welcome gift, and they can play on the play modules.  The activities on offer for them include "Film Time", drawing, reading and jigsaws.

Disabled guests and guests with special requirements are catered for at the hotel, gluten and lactose-free bread is served at breakfast, along with non-allergenic garnish.  Rooms for disabled guests have height-adjustable beds, widened doors, vibrating alarm clocks (which will also react in the case of the hotels fire alarm sounding.  For guests who are hearing impaired can use a hearing loop and mobile hearing loops are available for guests attending business meetings at the hotel.  

Parking belonging to hotel is available just across the street at the Nortstan shopping centre on the 6th floor of the car park.  (Parking tickets must be collected from hotel reception prior to using the car park.  Valet parking is also available.  All parking carries an additional charge.  

The hotel has free wireless internet access through out all guest rooms and common areas.

The Scandic hotel chain has won multiple environmental and ethical awards as an organisation.  Scandic Europa also has Swan Label environmental award, the hotel adheres to the Scandic environmental policy which has enabled the hotel to achieve its environmental award.  

The hotel ensures that all staff are trained in the best environmental practises.  These practises include 22 categories and recycled wherever possible.  Energy is sourced from renewable sources, the hotel is fitted with low energy light bulbs, room key controlled lighting and uses energy efficient appliances.  In relation to food and beverages; no GM food is served, organic food is served wherever possible and all coffee is fairtrade.  "Eco-Friendly" cleaning products are used to keep the hotel clean.

For lunch the restaurant serves a sizeable buffet lunch, which include soups, salads as well as two different hot dishes both with a homemade touches.  As well as a strong offering of desserts.  In the evening there's a wide range of food on the restaurants Mediterranean menu.  And kids always enjoy their own kids' menu.  The hotel has a very swish and well-stocked bar, which also serves snacks and espressos.  The price of breakfast is included within the nightly rate of your room.
