You can borrow bicycles from reception and ride off to the beach or see the Halmstad attractions like the Halmstad Castle or perhaps ride to the Picasso statue. Shops are on right hotels doorstep at the Scandic Hallandia hotel, if you fancy a little retail therapy and then perhaps take in the open-air museum. Return to the hotel in the evening for a steam shower and relaxing in the jacuzzi before heading out to discover the night-life of Halmstad.

back to topThe hotel is a natural business hub as it is perfectly situated in central Halmstad with excellent transport links. There are 10 flexible meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 100 business people.
The hotel is free for kids (under 13 years) and there's plenty to keep them from getting bored during their stay. If you're looking for an exciting adventure then there's always the nearby go-karting circuit - "track.G".
The hotel has its own gym which means you can take advantage of the treadmill, free weights, exercise bike, gymball. Or you can leave the hotel with a bicycle which the hotel will lend you or perhaps have a few rounds of golf at the Halmstad Golf Course. After you've Unwind in the sauna in the relaxation area and take in sweeping views of the surrounding area and Halmstad castle.
There are two rooms for the disabled. These specially modified rooms include light switches at wheelchair height, widened doors, furniture designed to be used by people at wheelchair height, as well as emergency alarm in the bathroom, every element of the room and bathroom have been designed for use by a wheel chair users. There are hearing loops at reception as well as mobile hearing loops for guests who need them for business meetings. Guide dogs are also welcome at the hotel.
There are 10 parking spaces (all carrying an additional charge) outside the hotel for guests to use. There are also a further parking spaces 50 metres from the hotel in and indoor car park, (also with an additional charge).
There's also the added bonus that every child stays for free (under 13).
Free wireless internet access is available to all guests through out the hotel.

back to topAs part of the Swedish Scandic hotel chain, Scandic Hallandia is managed and run in accordance with the Scandic Environmental Policy.
The hotel ensures that its environmental impact in a number of ways: Renewable energy is used instead on non-renewable carbon based energy. All staff are trained in the principles of "best practise" in relation to the environment. Waste is tightly controlled, all waste is sorted into 22 separate categories and recycled wherever possible. Water and energy are conserved using efficient appliances, these appliances include energy efficient machines through out the hotel, low energy light bulbs, room key controlled lighting. Water is conserved by the use of washing machines with efficient water usage as well as by the use efficient taps and showers, low-flush toilets. "Eco-friendly" cleaning products are used to keep the hotel clean. There no GM food is served at the hotel, organic food is served wherever possible, all coffee is fairtrade.

From the bus station, taxis are available 24 hours to take you directly to the Scandic Hallandia hotel. The journey normally takes around 3 minutes from the taxi rank in front of the station to the hotel.
From Österskans Bus Station on foot:
You can walk to the hotel in 5 minutes. Cross the bridge, turn left, then take the first street on the right. At the square, turn left again and the hotel is a 1-minute walk away.
From Halmstad Train Station by taxi:
From the train station, taxis are available 24 hours to take you directly to the Scandic Hallandia hotel. The journey normally takes around 3 minutes from the taxi rank in front of the station to the hotel.
From Halmstad Train Station on foot:
Walk along the perimeter of the park opposite the station. Turn right at the river and the hotel is opposite you on the left. The journey is a 10-minute walk.
